Opening your home to an exchange student is a unique opportunity to learn about another culture, broaden your worldview, and share everyday life in a meaningful way. You’ll build a special bond with someone from across the globe – and that connection often lasts long after the student returns home. 

No problem. Your student can either join you on the trip (at their own expense) or stay with a trusted temporary host family that we help arrange. We’re here to support you with options. 

Yes! Many students enjoy the extra attention and connection that comes with being the only young person in the home. Every family is unique – and that’s a good thing. 

We’re here to support you. If challenges arise, your local contact person will help resolve them. If a new arrangement is needed, we’ll handle it with care and understanding for everyone involved.

You provide a safe and welcoming home, daily meals, and a place to sleep. Your student will have their own spending money for personal needs. We’ll be here for you throughout the journey. 

It all starts with a simple interest form [ADD LINK]. From there, we’ll guide you through every step – getting to know your family, helping you find a great student match, and arranging a home visit from one of our local contact persons. 

Students are placed in a local high school and follow a local curriculum and language. They’re here to immerse themselves in everyday life – including school life – and are eager to be part of the experience. 

Students don’t necessarily need a private room. Sharing with a host sibling of similar age and gender is often just fine – as long as everyone is comfortable. 

Yes. As a host family, you receive a monthly allowance to help cover additional costs such as food and utilities. While families choose to host for the cultural experience, the compensation helps make hosting more accessible and sustainable. And of course, you’ll have full support from our local team throughout the stay. 

Students choose their host country, but not the host family. Placement depends on where loving host families, like yours, are ready to welcome them. You choose the student! 

Yes! We’ll suggest students who seem like a good fit for your family based on your preferences – but the final choice is always yours. 

Absolutely. Most families do! Exchange students understand that daily life is busy. They quickly become independent and are often involved in school and local activities. What matters most is a welcoming, caring home. 

Yes. We offer different hosting options – some families host for a full academic year, others for just a few months. You can choose what suits your situation best. 

Be open, patient, and clear about your house routines. Share your way of life and invite your student into everyday moments, things like meals, errands, or family activities. You don’t need to entertain or plan special events, just including them in daily life makes a big difference and helps build a meaningful connection.
