Remember to pack as light as possible. In a whole year abroad, you will end up getting lots of new things that you probably want to be able to bring home with you. Below are a few items that are good to bring, but once you’ve been in touch with your host family, ask them for more tips.

  • Passport and vaccination info

  • Prescription medications

  • Hygiene products for the first few weeks

  • Computer, phone, headphones, camera

  • Extra pair of glasses, and contact lenses

  • A small gift for your host family

  • Chargers and adapters (if needed)

  • Clothes and shoes for different occasions (keep ion mind climate and dress codes)
