If you’re in the Classic program, you can wish for a certain city or area as paid add-ons (e.g., Cádiz, Alicante, Valencia). In Select, you choose your location directly.

No. All our host families are carefully selected and genuinely motivated to open their homes to an exchange student. They choose the student they’d like to welcome.

Included in the fee is round trip flights, half/full board accommodation, placement in a local high school, Welcome Camp (fall departures), pre-departure materials and preparation meetings for students and parents, 24/7 support, personal support from a local contact person and STS diploma after your exchange.

You’ll have a local contact person in Spain who checks in regularly and is there if you need help – whether it’s school, host family, or just adjusting to life abroad. STS also provides 24/7 support, so you’re never alone.

If you’re having a hard time settling in, we’ll support you through it. Your local contact will help facilitate conversations and improvements – and if that’s not enough, we’ll work with you to find a new and suitable placement. Your comfort and safety always come first.

It’s a fun introduction where you’ll explore Barcelona, meet other students, and prepare for life in Spain – both practically and socially. The camp is included for all fall starts.

Yes, the Select program offers the option to stay for multiple academic years, especially if you’re aiming to complete a diploma or prepare for university.

We recommend applying 6–12 months in advance. Some destinations and schools fill up quickly, and applying early gives you more flexibility – especially if you have special requests or want to travel in the autumn. However, we can often accommodate last-minute applications too, so don’t hesitate to contact us even if your timeline is tight.
